We often get requests to
support the community in various ways.
Our main objective is to provide a music program where people fully participate
and live out their passion for playing music. We provide the services from our
professional music coaches, the use of our studios, top line gear to play on and
they become a Rock Star, with a finale concert, benefiting a charity that really
makes a difference in the community. |
| |
|
This program can be run
for any type of organization, business or charity, be it as an employee benefit
program or a community outreach program, with a proven fundraising model for
your chosen charity. If interested to participate with your organization, please

THE ROCK CLUB - LB
Water Rocks |
|
“Long Beach Water
Rocks for Conservation” – Festival / Concert |
| |
|
|
| |
|
What happens when
you put Rock-n-Roll and Water conservation together? You get students from
Wilson High School to create their own water conservation song to be judged by
the Long Beach Water Department LBWD. It’s Battle of the Bands, Water
Conservation Style, and a fundraising concert that’s not to be missed! Wilson
High School, in partnership with The Rock Club, is giving students an experience
of a lifetime and audiences an opportunity to support water conservation while
they share in the fun. |
| |
|
The Long Beach
Water Department (www.lbwater.org) is generously supporting this event in its
ongoing efforts to save our most precious resource. LBWD supports the community
by offering programs on how to save water at their homes, businesses and through
education. |
| |
|
The Rock Club LLC
is a membership-based program which encourages musicians of all ages and
abilities. Over a period of a few weeks, the students of Wilson are placed in
bands, choose the songs they want to play each week, are provided with
professional instruments by Kaman Music and are coached by a professional and
seasoned musician, meeting daily after school - with one catch. Each band will
have to compose, collaborate, perform their set list, and also perform their
version of a water conservation song while being judged by a panel of executives
from the Long Beach Board of Water Commissioners, as well as other elite
panelist. The winning band will be supplied with new musical equipment from
www.TheRockClub.net, with the ultimate aim to conduct the same program at all
LBUSD schools in the future. |
| |
|
“The vision of
this program is to educate the youth about water conservation and what better
way than through music.” said Frank McIlquham, director of The Rock Club.net. |

| THE ROCK CLUB
- Rock the Teacher |
| |
|
|
| |
|
One program we
created was in conjunction with the Adopt a Teacher Foundation, where teachers
rocked in front of their students, families and friends. We also have a Rock The
Teacher DVD for sale |
| |
|
What a great show
that occurred on the 7th of February 2009 at Wilson High School in Long
Beach. |
| |
|
We created a safe
and fun atmosphere for all attendees. Our bands who were all different teachers
from over 9 different LBUSD schools went to our studio as novices and under the
guidance of Mike Pachelli and Ronnie Ciago they came out as stars. They all met
new people, we put them into bands, created their name and own set list,
provided our music instruments, had some up and downs, met the deadlines,
practiced alot and we made Rock Stars out of them. We bridged the gap between
teachers and their students, so their own students can pick up an instrument and
feel a passion for music. It help support the need for music classes to still be
offered in schools and raised funds for the Adopt a Teacher program which
supplies grants back to teachers for their out of pocket classroom supplies. It
raised funds for Wilson High School and provided a great community event by
offering a festival feeling in an auditorium from over 25 different food and
retail vendors. The bands performed their sets in front of over 375 people and
all had one hell of a time. |
| |
|
Bill Ward,
drummer from Black Sabbath, was there taking notes and giving feedback to each
performer. We also had a battle of the bands and the finalist were offered the
chance to play at Gaslamp on PCH the following Wednesday. Bill gave the thumbs
up and all performed. Thank you so much Bill. |
| |
|
There were so
many people to thank, I hope I don't leave anyone out. If I do I sincerely
apologize. |
| |
|
Firstly, I want
to thank each member of every band. You guys really came through, listened to
your coaches, held solid practices and felt the rush. I am proud of each and
every one of you. I have some great testimonials and some cool pics, which I
have included on the website. |
| |
|
Thanks Katherine,
Ronnie Ciago and Mike Pachelli. David Cannan from the Adopt a Teacher Foundation
and his whole team and Blue Steel. Lew Kerns, principal of Wilson for everything
and his band Assisted Living and Ron Mayhan and his staff and Yasemine from the
PTA. The Fred Gretsch Foundation for providing guitars that local school kids
painted to be auctioned. Britt and McShane from Bombshelter. Orozcos Auto
Service who is supporting us by providing 10% back of all sales to make more of
these programs happen. All the great food and retail vendors, too many to
mention individually, Ovation Fan Club guys and John Ericson from It's A Grind
on Cherry and Carson St. |
| |
|
Finally, Joe
Montoya and Norman Drexel from Kaman Music Corp. If it wasn't for Joe believing
in me and my passion this would not have happened. |
| |
